Studies indicate that the troops who serve in the current conflict in
Iraq are suffering from PTSD, and other problems related to their war
zone experiences, on a scale not seen since Vietnam.(1)
And survival analysis shows that more than one third of people with an index episode of PTSD fail to recover even after many years. (2)
