Course Description
It only takes 45 seconds to formulate a first impression. Your appearance and how you convey your message is comprised of several factors that will leave a lasting impression on the people you encounter. To be successful in the workplace or your personal life, you must be able to effectively communicate and cooperate with clients, co-workers, your spouse or children. This course explores the concepts of interpersonal communication skills and techniques. This course will teach you, the student how to communicate with elegance and build rapport; how to effectively write emails, and how to acquire business etiquette in formal settings.
Course Requirements
Through group discussion, individual assessment, and practical exercise you will identify and apply strategies to; identify your personal style of communication, communicate using verbal and non-verbal forms of communications, and become acquainted with the behaviors that distinguish someone as a receptive listener.
Training Objectives
· Identify the elements that influence first impressions, build rapport and establish credibility with others, and build positive relationships
· Interact with individuals who display a specific communication style, and communicate using various verbal and nonverbal modes of communication
· Display courtesy on the telephone, in voice mails, and in written communications
· Follow proper etiquette at business functions

The overall goal upon completion of this course is to help you develop your abilities as an effective communicator so that you may influence others with positive outcomes.
